ABOUT THE PUBLICATION

Independent by design.
Transparent by practice.

Psychedelic Medicine Report is an independent educational publication founded and edited by Lee-Roy Kilgallon. It exists to make a complex field easier to understand without disguising uncertainty, promoting treatments or overstating the expertise behind the work.

FOUNDER & EDITOR

Independent publisher and evidence-focused writer. Not a doctor, psychologist, scientist or qualified mental-health professional.

The person behind the publication

Lee-Roy Kilgallon founded Psychedelic Medicine Report to create the kind of resource he wanted to find: calm, accessible and willing to preserve the difficult parts of the evidence. He selects topics, researches source material, edits articles and is accountable for what the publication releases.

Lee-Roy has no clinical, psychological or academic qualification in psychedelic medicine. The site does not present him as a medical expert. His role is to trace credible sources, explain them carefully and make the boundary between evidence, interpretation and uncertainty visible to readers.

The governing rule: qualifications, review status and conflicts are stated as they are—not as the publication might wish them to appear.

HOW CONTENT IS PRODUCED

A visible path from question to publication

01 — Define the claim

Start with a specific question and separate what readers need to understand from what might simply attract attention.

02 — Trace primary sources

Prioritise peer-reviewed studies, trial registrations, regulators, NHS information and official policy documents.

03 — Preserve uncertainty

Report limitations, adverse events, regulatory status and unanswered questions alongside any promising result.

04 — Check every link

Sources are inspected before publication, linked for readers and recorded with the date on which they were checked.

05 — State review honestly

Independent clinical review is only claimed when a suitably qualified reviewer has assessed the article.

06 — Correct the record

Material errors and important new evidence are corrected or updated with accountability rather than quietly ignored.

CLINICAL REVIEW

Review is a status, not a decoration

Most current articles have not been independently reviewed by a clinician. Their article records say so. If a qualified reviewer assesses a future article, that person’s name, relevant qualification and the scope of the review will be stated clearly.

The publication does not describe internally edited material as peer-reviewed and does not use a reviewer’s involvement to imply endorsement beyond the work they actually completed.

AI ASSISTANCE

Tools can assist; responsibility cannot be outsourced

AI tools may assist with research organisation, drafting, editing and presentation. They are not treated as authorities and do not replace inspection of the sources listed in an article.

Lee-Roy remains responsible for the decision to publish, the way evidence is represented and the correction of errors. Readers are encouraged to inspect the linked sources rather than relying on the publication alone.

INDEPENDENCE, FUNDING & CONFLICTS

No invisible commercial agenda

Psychedelic Medicine Report is currently an independently developed publication. It is not a clinic, treatment provider, pharmaceutical manufacturer, retreat directory or referral service. No current article has been commissioned to promote access to a treatment.

Any future sponsorship, affiliate relationship, free product, paid partnership or relevant personal conflict will be disclosed where readers can see it. Commercial support will not be presented as independent evidence.

Accountability is part of the publication.

Questions, corrections and thoughtful challenges are welcome. You can inspect the editorial standards, review the corrections policy or contact Lee-Roy through the publication.
